Nov 12, 2026 is the last day you can buy 99% of the genetics on the market for the cannabis sativa genome, in the USA. While other countries are leading the way in regulation, decriminalization, and utilization of this complex and incredible genome, our country has chosen to recriminalize the seedstock that has been legal since 2018. If nothing changes, this will have a massive impact on the entire cannabis industry. I won't pontificate further about the economic incentives for monopolies to write this kind of unconstitutional monstrosity into law, I'll just say that we do not consent, and we will do all we can to spread the best cannabis genetics in the world, to every corner of it. We're going to make it cost less to the end receiver and grower of these genetics than it would with any other company, and to those who support us with larger sales and donations, we're giving away equity shares in our company. 

I've been preparing for a moment like this since before the seeds became legal. When we started Mt Zion with our first seed runs in 2011, the goal was to create the most diverse library of cannabis genetics in the world, with no thought for potential profit or selection criteria according to market demands. We wanted to gather all the landraces, all the legendary prohibition era crosses, all the commercial medical and hash head clones, and breed them all together in open pollination. And so we did, over and over again. We didn't care about names, how can you know the lineage of a plant and honestly market it as such, when it's a polyhybrid of 3 landraces and 5 clones all mashed up over 5 linear open pollination events? So, as you know, we gave new names to our standout creations, according to what we did know was in the lineage, in conjunction with simple descriptors about what made them special. 

Aside from our pure heirloom and landrace preservation projects, we went into breeding beyond names and hype, for the sake of the plant, deep into selection based solely on traits and novelty. Potency (total cannabinoids and terpenes) genetically linked with vigor, mold and pest resistance. Novel cannabinoids in endless combinations. We have 1 million open pollination seeds to offer for free, between now and Nov 12th, and 3 million to sell or plant. This is our going out of business sale to set up the American people with the fullness of the genetic diversity we have created for the past 15 years of breeding. This is a gift I have been both receiver and creator of, which I see now as a complete representation of the fullness of the American made cannabis genome. We were gifted hundreds and maybe thousands of personal "strains" over the years, that went into our open pollinations one season after another, adding more and more diversity to the germplasm. 

Besides those open pollination bulk seeds, we have 400 selected mothers and inbred lines, distinct individual regular seed populations that have either one mother, pollinated with hundreds or thousands of fathers, or they are f2 or beyond all the way to f6, lineages we have pulled out of open pollination and worked the lines for more than a decade, like Zion Train or Lime Paint Thinner or many others. We want to offer our seeds at prices beyond economics and into the realm of civic duty, so with this email to our loved customer base and valued partners, we are opening a celebration sale for the 250th anniversary of the declaration of independence!
